Moura Transfer Station, west of Moura on the Dawson Highway. Recycling available for aluminium cans, glass, batteries, scrap metal, and domestic quantities of motor oil. There is also glass recycling available at the Rotary Club of Moura 07 4997 1403.


Theodore Landfill, Goolara-Heinekes Road. Recycling available for aluminium cans, glass and domestic quantities of motor oil. There is also glass recycling available at Theodore Lions Club 07 4993 1163.


Taroom Landfill, Leichhardt Highway heading south after the golf course and showgrounds on the right. Recycling available for scrap metal and domestic quantities of motor oil at the Council Depot.


Baralaba Landfill, on the road opposite the Council Depot, the Ashfield Road Extension, south of the railway line. Recycling available for glass and domestic quantities or motor oil.

The town is on the Dawson River, 96km north-west of Biloela and 140km south-west of Rockhampton. You’ll need to bring your own water and firewood.
